- hearing the reaction of my students after revealing the answer to a daily estimation challenge,
- hearing their reasoning,
- seeing them want to go up to the board to do some spatial reasoning,
- students using noticing & wondering, or
- hearing from other teachers and their experiences using Estimation 180 with their own students.
I threw in some weight challenges (starting at Day 171) I've been sitting on for a couple months now. These surfaced after a conversation I had with a student today regarding the weight of a pumpkin in my classroom. I have some interesting thoughts to mull over and post about at a later time. In the meantime, go pump some estimation iron!
